Big News!

The day has arrived. We have finished production of Season 2 of Jungle Beat. Woohoo! This is a very exciting time for us as Season 2 has been in the works for a long time now. The first half of season 2 will be available on DVD later in the year, while the other episodes can be seen in Nu Metro 3D cinemas. It has already started being broadcast in France and Italy and will soon make its way around the world to a tv near you.

And where does that leave us? With Season 3 to start! Scripts are already being written and the team is excited to grow and speed up so we can finish Season 3 by the end of next year! Animation sure isn’t quick.

A Launch to Remember

Some of the Sunrise team braved the early morning to catch a flight to Durban to attend the launch of Sharkie, and boy was it worth it. It was a morning full of real fanboy moments. It started off with us being ushered pitch-side at Mr. Price King’s Park (which itself was worth the trip) where we were greeted with drinks and snacks as we waited for the event to start. Read more

New episode in cinemas!

Ok, quick quiz: How did chameleons get the ability to change colour?

Don’t know?

Well you’re in luck, we don’t know either, so we made something up! To check out our version of how Chameleon’s colour changing ability came about head down to your nearest 3D NuMetro cinema and have a watch. But hurry, this episode is only showing until the end of June, after which we’ll be showcasing what happens to Giraffe when he wakes up with a stiff neck. Ouch.

Jungle Beat Lights Up the Big Screen

After a great run in Nu Metro 3D theaters Elephant has had to make way for the newest addition to the Jungle Beat family – Firefly. The new episode, “This Little Light of Mine” will be showing in all Nu Metro 3D cinemas throughout South Africa before the main feature from the 11th of March. It’s the story of a tired little Firefly who’s struggling to get some sleep because his light is shining in his eyes. When he finally manages to put his light out he realizes he’s afraid of the dark. What’s he to do?To find out why not grab some popcorn and some friends and go and check it out!

Bokkie Sprints Across the Finish Line

We are thrilled to announce that Bokkie recently won a Sports Industry award for Best Integrated Sport Marketing Campaign. Phil was there with to receive the award along with Sarah Williams from SA Rugby and were handed the trophy by Linford Christie and Oscar Pistorius. Unfortunately Bokkie was not on hand to receive the award himself, it would have been nice to see him and Linford in a race.
